Oksana Lutsai: “Leave a bright trace for yourself”

Oksana Lutsai is the founder of the school of podiatry, the developer of the care line of cosmetics, a woman with incredible experience in the profession, where precision of thinking is combined with deep humanity. The words of Mrs. Oksana: "leave a bright trace" are not a metaphor, but a life position formed by years of service to people and personal trials. In the new interview, we talked about the logic and scenario in the work of life, about the responsibility of the master, the power of knowledge, learning as a form of care, about a woman who can do everything, independence and about love as the only way to truly treat. Mrs. Oksana, today I will start our conversation with your words, which are very close to me: "Everything I build has logic, a script, a built depth." Tell us, please, how did your story in the world of podiatry begin?

I have been working in the nail industry for about 20 years and can call myself a dinosaur or a mammoth. Like everyone else, I immediately tried to be a master of a general profile and started working with feet and hands.

So, when you diligently do a pedicure, and a person comes in a month with the same thickening, the question arises:

- or I'm doing something wrong;

- or a person does not take care of himself.

And I started looking for cause-and-effect relationships, went to study. And I'm still learning.

Because you can't live all the experience in life, it's easier to buy someone's experience. 9 years ago I opened a pedicure school and now I want to go to the state level so that I can retrain people who have lost their jobs, because our goal is to help people. And in Ukraine, the best masters among the whole world.

I want to pay special attention to your attitude in teaching others. This sincerity, at the same time attentiveness and straightforwardness is worth the price. Do you remember the moment when they realized: “I want to teach and lead people behind me”? And what, in your opinion, should be the specialist they follow?

Open. I understand that I cannot embrace the whole world, so let my students and workers do good.

And if this position is inside you, then attentiveness, logic, responsibility for decision-making are included. Podology is not an accurate science. And analytics is one of the tools we use.

How do you see a portrait of a modern woman?

Independence and kindness. Maybe I feel that way and it's close to me.

A woman can do anything now. You can also earn money through service. There is a high philosophy here. Maybe someone will understand my words. But they are worth thinking about..

Ms. Oksana, how do you manage to combine the technical side of podiatry and the emotional side - work with human fears and doubts?

All because of love. Every person inside is a child who is afraid, doubts, demands attention.

The technical side is not a problem, it's a skill. Once we didn't know how to walk and write. Everything can be learned. But relationships and especially professional influence, he can save or cripple.

The main task of the master who practices podiology is to engage in educational work.

In the ancient Slavs, the word "doctor" had nothing to do with white coats. The root "vra" meant a word, language, speech, and a doctor is a person who heals with words, knowledge, guidance, through understanding the reasons.

Yes, a podologist is not a doctor. It's more like a teacher.

What are the most common mistakes you see in those who try to start a career in podiatry without the right strategy?

There is an old proverb, one in the field is not a warrior.

Don't go to work alone. Go to centers, studios, now many salons are looking for narrow specialists in the staff. If you are afraid, learn. Invest in yourself. These are the best investments. I am proud of every master who works in my team in Kyiv. Because we pass on our own experience to each other, and sometimes we find new unexpected solutions in the consiliums.

I was also pleasantly impressed by the fact that you have a care line of cosmetics for feet and hands. Take a closer look at this line. What positions were included in its composition?

I have an analytical and even mathematical mindset. Over the past 14 years, I have studied all the top effective tools that I used myself and that were used by colleagues. She developed a line of mandatory means, which in just a year of existence occupied the shelves of almost every master who works for positive dynamics at the expense of basic home care.

These are antiseptics, softeners, skin-type balms for hands and feet, powders, sprays, antifungal preventive ruler for nails and skin and shoes.

And now I'll tell you something I've never told anyone. In 2026, a line will be released in synergy with cosmetologists, and maybe later hair cosmetics.

If today you could address every woman on Earth through a personal message, what would you say?

I am a woman who thought that the people around me were the most important. And two years ago I heard a diagnosis of CANCER.

There is an opinion that you can have hundreds and thousands of problems as long as you have health, and if you lose it, you have only one.

My message is one. Love yourself in yourself. Make all your dreams come true. Leave a bright trace for yourself.
