Oksana Lutsai: “I Was Not Afraid to Start, Because One Day This Will Remain After Me as a Memory of LUTSAI for People”

Oksana Lutsai is the founder of a podology school, the developer of a professional skincare line, and an ambassador of BOMOND VIP fashion magazine in the “Beauty” category.
This year, together with Ms. Oksana, we opened a new chapter of our publication, revealing podology as a science that requires not only professional skills, but also analytical thinking, responsibility, and a profound sense of care. It is a professional perspective on foot health, high-quality services, and the culture of at-home care through LUTSAI.
A woman who has faced her own trials and emerged stronger. Her position is simple yet profound: as long as you live, you act, create, teach, and pass the light forward. She takes pride in every specialist on her team, shares her experience, and builds an environment where knowledge becomes a tool of service. Because podology is not about superficial aesthetics. It is about education, consistency, and trust.
A natural continuation of her professional journey has been the LUTSAI skincare line, the result of years of practice, analysis, and a clearly structured approach. In 2026, the brand is entering a new stage of development through collaboration with cosmetologists, expanding the culture of at-home care as part of conscious self-care.
And whatever may be happening around us, however much we may want to save the whole world, the beginning is always with ourselves. With caring for our health, for what is external and internal, and for beauty that exists beyond time.

Ms. Oksana, behind every professional product there is always much more than a formula or packaging. There are years of experience, observation, mistakes, practice, and an understanding of people’s real needs. In your case, the LUTSAI line became a continuation of many years of work in podology. At what point did you realize that professional experience alone was no longer enough within the framework of a service, and that there was a need to create your own care system?
I have been in the body-care industry for 20 years, and I will describe a simple, real fact: if you take care of something, it will serve you longer and look better. This is not only about things. If health is among a person’s values, there is also an understanding that removing something pathological with a podologist or another specialist is not enough. You also need to take care of it afterward.
It is also no secret that this is daily, routine work.
The realization did not come to me suddenly. I have always known this. But over the years of trying different approaches, I understood how I personally wanted to improve the things I was holding in my hands or recommending for people to use as part of their home care. That was when I had the idea to find a technologist and create products that would address all podological needs.
That is how the basic line of products was created, and next year it will become even broader.

Today, the beauty and wellness industries are increasingly moving toward conscious care, where aesthetics are accompanied by safety, consistency, and a professional approach. What was the main idea for you personally when creating LUTSAI cosmetics?
There is a widespread belief that most professionals do this to generate additional income. Many specialists themselves have felt this hesitation and were afraid to recommend something that simply did not work on their clients’ skin or nails. A deodorant that does not eliminate foot odor, or a cream that never actually restores cracked skin. A powder that rolls off and a balm that feels sticky while still failing to moisturize.
So my goal was to give Ukrainians a product that delivers fast, tangible results.
Every person who sees the results of their own work becomes more inspired to apply the product at home. And the professional remains there to adjust the home-care routine, maintain healthy-looking skin, and prevent unwanted changes.
Creating your own line is always a complex process that requires not only knowledge, but also the inner courage to take responsibility for the result. What was the journey from the initial idea to the finished product? What was the greatest challenge for you in creating the brand?
I went through cancer. At the moment when you clearly understand that tomorrow may not come, you ask yourself what you wanted to do and which ideas you wanted to bring to life.
I was not afraid to start, because one day this will remain after me as a memory of LUTSAI for people.
And you know, there was a lot to learn. I was doing work I had never done before. Everything was new, from developing the concept to choosing the jars. But the people I had gathered around me over the years gave me honest feedback. And I accepted it without taking offense. I changed things and improved them.
This is a tremendous amount of work carried out not only by me, but by thousands of professionals throughout Ukraine.
There is a strong sense of structure and analytical thinking in the way you approach your profession. How important is the logic behind a formula to you? Is professional cosmetics in the modern world ultimately the result of a deep understanding of processes, conditions, and the needs of the skin?
Oh, absolutely. For some reason, I used to be convinced that being systematic was a basic setting in every person. Over time, I realized that it is actually one of my personal strengths.
I care deeply about people. I worry about them. So my product had to meet their needs.
And the formulas… they were changed three times. Each time, they became more refined.
There is no need to ask me about the logic of formulas. The basic solutions were developed decades ago. It is better to talk about the nuances that distinguish my cosmetics from others.
I know how to listen and understand a need. Sometimes it is laziness, a lack of time, convenience of use, or the logic of application. That is where I realized the potential.

The professional community increasingly speaks about an oversaturated cosmetics market. At the same time, truly strong products are always born not from the desire to “follow a trend,” but from a real need. Which needs of clients and professionals did you primarily want to address through the LUTSAI line?
I do not want to write about problems in a glossy magazine.
Just know this: if you have an issue with your feet, look for LUTSAI. Look for the podologists who stand behind my surname. They are my employees, my students, and colleagues around the world. And look for products that do not simply exist, but help resolve an issue within a short period of time.
I know the formula with which I entered the market: give people results, and they will come back for them.
There are too many cosmetic products already for me to become just another brand. What distinguishes me from every other one is that people see the changes and genuinely begin taking care of themselves, because every product delivers remarkable results.
There is one downside for most people, though. This cosmetics line cannot be purchased in mass-market stores. If cosmetics are called professional, the key element of the structure is the professional, the specialist who selects the product according to the type and condition of the skin.
You have repeatedly emphasized that podology is first and foremost about health, trust, and education. In your view, how is the culture of at-home care changing today? Have people become more conscious in the way they approach themselves and their health?
I see enormous progress. And I have the pleasant realization that I have contributed to it.
Strong brands are almost always built on more than a business strategy. They are rooted in a certain philosophy of life. If we speak about LUTSAI not as a product, but as a reflection of you, what are the key values embedded in the brand?
A life without unnecessary burdens, comfort in the details, an inner permission to be yourself, a sense of wholeness, and the expression of individuality.
It is not about a woman or a man applying and rubbing products into something somewhere. It is about noticing something in time, resolving it, and moving forward instead of carrying countless little things through life that undermine your confidence.
You simply want to live. To shake someone’s hand, go to a swimming pool, change clothes in a shared gym locker room, wear open shoes, and not think that something, somewhere, is wrong.
It is the opportunity to live without unnecessary complications.

Ms. Oksana, you not only create your own brand, but also shape the professional environment around you, teach, share your experience, and support specialists. How do you see the future culture of podology and professional care in Ukraine?
More than 10 years ago, I realized that I would not be able to make people’s lives easier on my own. For that, I needed to multiply the number of hands carrying my philosophy to people.
That was how I began passing on my technical skills and teaching students to think the way I do.
I am convinced that over these years, thousands of specialists have been able to awaken in people the desire to feel whole and healthy and have conveyed the importance of at least basic hygienic care.
And I will continue to inspire them toward new achievements.
