Ms. Svitlana, today you have become the main character of our DIGITAL cover. And I want to start the interview with your words, which you once wrote: “You can do everything. At any age.” These words so beautifully personify the path of a woman who combined a successful business and going on the catwalk, and does it confidently, beautifully and freely.

Please tell me how your story began. What was the first chapter of the birth of your upholstered furniture stretching business, which has been your main professional direction for more than 25 years? What was the first step that determined your next path?

Since school, I felt a love for sewing, first I sewed clothes for myself, then I started working as a seamstress. It was a business that brought unconditional pleasure. The idea of my own business did not appear immediately. She was born of life. Once I was approached by craftsmen who were engaged in stretching upholstered furniture with a request to sew covers. I agreed and it was from this random, at first glance, step that something much more began.

It was 1998. This is how my husband and I's family business was born. He and his eldest son were engaged in disassembly and repair, and I was engaged in sewing new clothes for furniture. Subsequently, the youngest son joined the case. We literally gave furniture a second life and, perhaps, this is the symbolism of my path.

Today, after more than 25 years, I can confidently say: this first step was not accidental. He determined my path, taught me patience, flexibility and love for my work. And even despite the crises, changes, quarantine and war, this direction remains relevant, because quality, manual work and attitude with the soul are always valuable.

Today, a woman has become a symbol of strength, self-realization and inner freedom.

What is the portrait of a modern woman in your vision?

A modern woman is a woman who creates herself. It combines strength and tenderness, wisdom, curiosity and practicality. She does not strive for perfection - instead, she seeks harmony, support inside and joy in the little things.

She is independent, but not afraid to ask for support. He knows how to plan his time, listen to his body, save his nerves and say “no” when necessary.

She has time for herself, her loved ones, development, learning, beauty and inspiration. She doesn't compete — she builds her life so that there is room for everything that is really important.

She perceives herself as she is.

Develops without pressure, changes with curiosity, allows himself to make mistakes and start over.

A modern woman - creates an atmosphere, builds relationships, cares, creates beauty - in the house, at work, in words, in dreams.

And most importantly, she knows: everything is possible in life. The main thing is desire, plan and action.

Patterns that have limited women for decades, fortunately, no longer work. It became obvious that age does not determine opportunities, professions or dreams. How do you feel about the fact that today a woman ... at any age can start a new business, go on the catwalk or realize an ambitious dream? What does this destruction of clichés mean to you personally?

I'm glad I don't live by the patterns of society. This is my personal life, it is the only one I have, there will be no other. Therefore, only I decide for myself what and when I should do. Unfortunately, most women of my age live by the principle of "I'm old", "what people will say about me". They are more concerned about the opinion of others than the opportunity to gain new experiences, unique sensations and impressions.

Modeling ...for many is a bold step. Tell us about your experience. What was the first exit on the podium? What do you remember the most and what did this stage give you personally?

My first appearance on the catwalk was in my youth, when I was studying to be a technologist in garment production. It was our diploma work - to sew a dress and parade in front of teachers and classmates. In addition, I was engaged in dancing and frequent appearances on stage contributed to the fact that I had no fear of the audience.

In modern modeling, the concept of 90-60-90 standards has long been not relevant. In addition, there are model schools for women of all ages. Here every woman can feel attractive and get a new experience, go on the catwalk and shine like a star. Therefore, the desire to feel the scene again, the viewer is like doping

Your experience is two decades of stability, quality and reputation. This is a path that is worth paying attention to and following. What main advice would you give to a woman who is just starting her journey in business? What should you pay attention to at the start to build a business that will last for years?

For those who are just planning to start their journey - the best advice - do what you really like, what brings you pleasure and what you really get high from. This will not allow you to stop in your development, will help you get up after the fall and will bring you joy from the result of your work.

I propose now to imagine that you and I are somewhere on the seashore ... And we have many postcards that we will send to every woman on the planet. What message would you write?

I want to wish all women to believe in themselves, to love themselves, to listen to themselves. Set goals (even if they seem impossible) and achieve them. The universe will help you with that.
