I want to start a new publication on the pages of the BOMOND VIP fashion magazine with the words: "Allow yourself beauty". This is the key phrase of the new material, the heroine of the DIGITAL cover of which was Nataliia Makhinia - a premium master in the USA, Nail Artist with her own author's technique.

In the article, we talked about the path of a Ukrainian woman who is flourishing in her own business, about how the American beauty industry has influenced the vision of the service, and about the desire to create not just a school that conveys the technicality and aesthetics of skill, but to start a new premium culture. We also talked about stability instead of the pursuit of quick results, about tips that will help masters reach the international level, and about the fact that out of time in any business always remains the main thing - the soul invested in the work. It is she who ultimately forms the true professional level.

Ms. Nataliia, I am very impressed that you see your own life's work in an unconditional tandem with creativity. Tell us, please, what was the beginning of your professional history as a premium master in the USA and Nail Artist with her own original technique?

My professional career began in Ukraine.

It was there that I first felt that the nail industry is not just a craft, but a space for creativity and systematic work. My first teachers later became my regular clients — and for me this is one of the most valuable forms of professional recognition. Over time, I have formed my own vision and author's technique, which I developed in the United States, working in the premium segment of Miami. Among my favorite and rare techniques are the layout french and aqua designs, which allow you to create truly unique nails and emphasize the individuality of each client.

Today you are a Ukrainian woman who flourishes in her own business in the United States, working in Miami with customers for whom quality and standards are often not subject to compromise. How has the experience in the American beauty industry influenced your vision of the service and the culture of the master's work?

The American beauty industry has greatly influenced my vision of the service.

In Miami, customers appreciate not only the result, but also the whole way: punctuality, communication, cleanliness, respect for personal space. There are no little things here - everything matters. This experience taught me even more structure, clarity and responsibility. I realized that premium is not about the price, but about a consistently high level in every detail.

What is the portrait of a modern woman in your eyes?

For me, the portrait of a modern woman is a woman who knows her worth.

It can be very different, but it is united by inner strength, awareness and desire for quality - in choice, in care, in life. She doesn't scream, she radiates. It is for such women that I work - to emphasize, not overload.

You are invited to prestigious studios and master training, and your author's technique is appreciated by influencers and artists. What exactly, in your opinion, distinguishes a premium nail master?

The master of the premium level is distinguished by thinking.

It is a combination of technical perfection, aesthetic taste, constant development and the ability to work with people. This is the ability to hear the client, predict his expectations, without betraying his own standards. A premium master never works "fast" or "if there was", he always works for the result and reputation.

In the nail industry, trends change quickly, but at the same time there are solutions that remain relevant regardless of the year, season or geography. What elements of technology, aesthetics and approach to work do you consider timeless classics?

Timeless classics in the nail industry are purity and balance.

Anatomically correct shapes, neat cuticle, safe equipment, restrained aesthetics, quality materials. Also — respect for the natural nail plate and the client's health.

This is something that will always be relevant, regardless of trends and geography.

You are now creating a large-scale educational project - a school in which you plan to transfer your own standards, technicality, aesthetics and culture of the premium level. What key idea do you want to put into this school and what, in your opinion, is most lacking in the professional education of masters today?

My school is about culture, not just about technology.

I want to give the masters a system: premium thinking, responsibility, love of detail and respect for the profession. Today, many people lack the basis - the understanding of "why", and not just "how". I want to teach craftsmen to build a long, stable career, not chase a quick result.

Your path is an example of how you can build a career in another country, maintaining your own standards and not lowering the quality bar. What advice would you give to the masters of the nail industry, who are only at the beginning of their journey, but already dream of an international level?

For masters who dream of an international level, I would advise not to rush.

Quality is always more important than speed. Invest in training, practice discipline, form your own style and do not lower the bar, even when it is difficult. The world is open to those who are ready to work systematically and honestly.

I propose now to imagine that you and I are somewhere on the seashore ... And we have many postcards that we will send to every woman on the planet. What message would you write?

I would write:

"You're already enough. Allow yourself quality, care and beauty - not as a luxury, but as the norm. Start with yourself.”
