Sometimes it is difficult for a person to control himself and his emotions, in particular when he needs to appear natural in unfamiliar companies. Here are some ways to control your emotions.
Postures, gait, facial expressions, gestures - all this matters and should correspond to the emotions that you show. And we are not talking only about those cases when we lack words or words are not needed. The body is the first to react to what we feel and responds with a glance or any movement.
Try saying something without words, using only your body. This could be the most ordinary story about how you got to work today. Do your counterparts understand your body movements? Do you feel the connection between your eyes, lips, posture? Where are your hands? What are you talking about with your foot movements?
Think back to a time in the past when you experienced a particular emotion. Close your eyes, immerse yourself in the memory and find the necessary feeling within yourself. When the emotion becomes strong enough, do something: cross your fingers or stamp your feet.
To consolidate the effect, this exercise must be done several times. Now you can easily enter the emotional state you need when needed.
It is necessary to think about the interlocutor in order to feel him better, to understand what he breathes. By reading the emotional state of another, guessing what he feels, you will understand how you are close.
Express emotions by involving your surroundings in the process. Don't be afraid to be bright, noticeable, sparkle with colors. Your emotions come alive as you interact with your surroundings.
Watch others tell stories, deliver bad news, and speak in front of an audience. Try to guess what emotions they experience, what their gestures and facial expressions say.
Breathing is closely related to how we feel. With the help of certain breathing exercises you can evoke a particular emotion. There are a large number of breathing practices today, but the basis of any one is inhalation and exhalation.
