Every year in May, the Côte d'Azur turns into a meeting place for cinema, high fashion and jewelry art, where the red carpet of the Palace of Festivals becomes an extension of the world's catwalks. It is here that images are born that remain in the archives of fashion publications for a long time and form the visual code of the era.
The 79th Cannes Film Festival once again confirmed this status. For twelve days, Croisette gathered actors, directors, models, designers and representatives of the international cultural elite. Along with the premieres of the most anticipated films of the year, attention was traditionally focused on the red carpet.

Among the guests of this year's festival was the Ukrainian model Diana Nikitiuk, who presented three different images. Each of them demonstrated a distinct facet of modern evening fashion, from the complex decorativeness of Italian design, the architectural elegance of the French Alaïa house to the couture work of the Swiss brand Vjosa Duli.

The Beloved: Italian skill Gianni Cirillo
Diana Nikitiuk's first appearance took place at the premiere of the film The Beloved (El Ser Querido) directed by Rodrigo Sorogoyen.
To appear on the famous stairs of the Palace of Festivals, the model chose the dress of the Italian designer Gianni Cirillo. The image in the delicate palette of powder shades was built around the complex geometry of the embroidery, textured elements and a spectacular cape that created a sense of movement in the frame. The evening ensemble was complemented by Van Cleef & Arpels jewelry and Jimmy Choo shoes.

In a stylistic sense, it was one of those images that gravitate towards the classic Cannes aesthetic.

The second release took place during the premiere of the film Paper Tiger.
For this evening, Diana Nikitiuk chose the image of Alaïa, a fashion house that has been one of the main symbols of intellectual femininity in world fashion for several decades. Founded by Azzedin Alaya, the brand built its own aesthetics around the precision of the cut, architectural silhouette and special attention to the proportions of the female body.

Diana appeared on the red carpet with Mr. Prestige is an international fashion influencer and media person who is one of the recognizable guests of the most prestigious events of the global fashion industry.
The appearance in Alaïa on the red carpet of Cannes was a logical continuation of the trend that is increasingly demonstrated by festival guests today: a departure from excessive decorativeness in favor of form, construction and purity of lines, in tandem between modernity and timeless elegance.

For the final release, the model chose a dress from the Swiss brand Vjosa Duli. Today, the brand is known for combining couture techniques with a modern vision of evening fashion, creating images in which manual work remains a central element of the design concept.
Of particular importance to this release is the fact that it took place during the Grand Final of the Cannes Film Festival - the closing ceremony, which traditionally becomes the culmination of the season. This evening, the red carpet brings together members of the jury (Park Chan-wook, Demi Moore, Stellan Skarsgård, Chloé Zhao and others), festival laureates, actors of the competition program and the main guests of the film forum. The Cannes Grand Final is one of the most exclusive events of the festival, which becomes a space for the presence of leading names of world cinema, the international fashion industry and the cultural community.

In 2026, Cannes reaffirmed its status as a world stage, where cinema and fashion exist in the same space. And Diana Nikitiuk's appearances were another manifestation of how Ukrainian names sound more and more confident in the international fashion industry.
